What are the advantages/disadvantages of the A330-200 or B767-300 from a
passengers point of view (charter configuration)?

One difference that a charter operator can't ruin is that the 330 is
quieter than a 767.

Never could tell the difference.  I've only sat in front of the 2nd door
on 330s (-200 and -300 models) and all over in 767s (-200 and -300)
Ventilation noise is what is deafening for the Airbus.

Me too, on 6 flights, but have spent time further back.

Never noticed that at all.

I've only been on 330's a few times but quit often on the 340. Here I have
noticed a sound from the ventilation system that I interpret as ice moving
about - and that is even on a warm day in Singapore!

Never heard that?

Err, not that I've noticed. I'll listen out for it next time!

Me neither.  I've had nise-cancelling headphones to use on most of the
330 flights.  The difference between having and not having these is the
roar of the aircon, and this is when the a/c is still at the gate.

If we assume a seat width of 18in (45.75cm) in charter, that equates to:

B767-300 cabin width 4.72cm with 8 seats and two isles of 53cm
A330-200 cabin width 5.28cm with 9 seats and two isles of 58cm

So even based on the "extra passenger" the A330 still provides more room.

If you keep the isles at 53cm, you get seat of 18in on the B767 or 18.46in
on the A330-200

uh... your numbers seem to be off by a couple of orders of magnitude.  I
didn't check the measurements but you have the cabin widths about 2 INCHES -
you mean 4-3/4 METRES maybe?
