I would have bet money that one of the museums would be the
Smithsonian.  Maybe one of the Air France Concordes has been
promised?

The AF Concorde landed at Dulles a few months ago; June, I believe.
It's going to be at the Udvar-Hazy Center at IAD, not the museum on the
Mall.

Absolutely - an Air France Concorde has been donated to the Smithsonian -
Udar Hazy Air & Space Museum at Dulles Airport in Washington, and will be on
display there when that museum opens in December, along with such airplanes
as the Boeing 377-80 (Dash 80).

I suspect that the Smithsonian doesn't want to tie up the necessary
space.  FFM

Smithsonian already got its Concorde from Air France. Ironic that the transfer
happened at a time when americans were renaming anything "french" to "liberty"
or whatever.

Probably the reason AF did it, to piss off our country's French-hating
morons.
