At SAN Diego, can one walk between Terminal One and Terminal Two
without leaving the secured area? I'm arriving at one terminal
and want to meet another passenger who is arriving at the other
terminal around the same time.  Thanks!

Nope.  The terminals are separate buildings, and since it's San
Diego, there was never any incentive to have an enclosed connection
between them.

You can walk back and forth in the concourse, which of course is outside of
the secured area...
