hi,
I'm going to spend my vacation in Indonesia. Apart from what Lonely
Planet recommends I'd like to visit an paradise island, like in "The
beach" movie with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Is it possible to find something similar close to Java, Bali, Simbawa
or Flores?

cheers

Not what I'd call paradise ... didn't they end up killing each other?

What about Flores itself? Or the Bandas? Or Alor in the Lesser Sundas?

Bandas is defenitely close to paradise (if you ignore food . I spent
some days in Pulau Ay, close to Bandaneira .. very nice beach ...

South of Lombok has also very nice beaches .. Mawun Beach is one of them

Flores is gorgeous, and it's very easy to get away from the tourist trail.
And the food is outstanding.
