Environmental zones, or "Particle-Free Emission Zones" are urban
zones in which it is forbidden to drive a motor vehicle without a
special sticker. These zones are an international trend. Here's a list
of the countries and cities they are in so far and what areas are
environmental zones:

   UNITED STATES (by state):

   ALABAMA:

   1. Eufala

   ALASKA:

   1. Anchorage
   2. Fairbanks
   3. Juneau
   4. Ketchikan
   5. Skagway
   6. Denali National Park

   ARIZONA:

   1. Tuscon
   2. Grand Canyon National Park

   ARKANSAS:

   1. Hot Springs

   CALIFORNIA:

   1. Arcata
   2. Eureka
   3. Fresno
   4. Berkeley
   5. San Francisco
   6. Santa Monica
   7. San Diego
   8. Los Angeles
   9. Palm Springs
   10. Oakland
   11. Fremont

   COLORADO

   1. Boulder
   2. Carbondale
   3. Aspen
   4. Denver
   5. Arvada
   6. Fort Collins
   7. Vail

   CONNECTICUT:

   1. Hartford

I live in the S.F. Bay Area, am very familiar with all these places, and
know of no such "environmental zones" in any of these places. (There are
car-free zones in all of them, but none where you can drive with a
"special sticker" as you claim.)

In case he slipped by you, you're talking to the great Joey Jolley.  He's

I thought it might be, but one never knows.

Joey Jolley, "the troll who replies back to you sometimes*".

again ...

Yes now he is back apparently wanting the extremely high pollution diesel
busses and diesel trains that are commonly used.

He wants to ban cars which these days are largely Low or Very Low emission
vehicles.

Cars now come with little stickers attached to them that tell you which
criterion they meet.

Part of Golden Gate Park on Saturdays:

At some times of the day, freeways passing through Oakland and
Berkeley, while not car free, seem to use cars as street furniture
given their average speed through all the gridlock. -:)

I dunno about the others but there sure as HELL is no requirement for
a special sticker to drive a car in Hartford.  Connecticut did away
with emissions stickers completely a few years ago.

Correct me if I'm wrong and was David Nebenzahl just being sarcastic
when he talked about the car-free zones in SF. Oakland, and Berkeley?
