Older diabetic family member will be traveling NY to Beijing - Hong Kong in
mid February. Concerns are medical care, will be carrying her meds, and
weather as far as what to take in clothing line. Last day or 2 will be in
Hong Kong.

Any advice will certainly be appreciated since people she will be going with
are just as uneducated as to what to expect etc.

I checked with a relative who lives in Beijing & is mildly diabetic.

I presume the person you mention will be carrying the usual blood
sugar level measuring kit? These and the supplies can be bought in
Beijing too.

In case of urgency, there is a store with everything:

Winter temperature can be a icy as NY (currently minus 10 deg.
Centigrade for example).
