Air Mandalay flies from Chiang Mai to Mandalay.  Once a week, on Thursday,
as of January, when we took the flight.  I understand that's the only
international flight using the new huge, distant Mandalay airport.  Getting
the ticket was an adventure; the airport in Mandalay is a bad joke of a
boondogle, with a nurse to check our temperature and lights that flicker on
and off.  The flight was fine.  Photos on my web site; URL below.

As far as I know Yangon is serviced by Thai International, Myanmar Airways
International, Biman Air, Malaysian Air, and Silk Air. I think an Indian
line (not Air India) and a couple of Chinese airlines (at least one of which
flies from Kunming) also operate into the country.
