Hi there,

I am soon to be arriving in HCMC, can anybody advise me on a reasonably
cheap hotel that both you and i would be happy with.

All I need is a solo room | bed | shower.

Thanks for your advice

You could try the Windsor Saigon -- nice suites, but the coffee is
horrible!

We have stayed at Bong Sen (http://www.hotelbongsen.com/), which we were
happy with. Bong Sen actually consists of two hotels, Bong Sen 1 and
Bong Sen 2, located a block from each other. Bong Sen 2, where we
stayed, had lower prices.

In 2003 we stayed at the Mai Pham on the main road in Pham Ngu Lao. It was
very clean, with A/C, cable TV, hot shower, and breakfast for about US$10. I
would definitely go back there next time in Saigon.
