Hey :)

My girlfriend and I are going to China for a month. We hear that English
isn't exactly in wide-spread use over there... So we were thinking it'd be
convenient to make written cards in Chinese that we could use whenever we
needed to. Like, "We would like a double room for ... days" or "Please
drive us to the train station" or "Too much, I'll pay half of that" :)
Stuff like that.

Do you guys know if there's a website out there with cards like that to
print out? Or any other good community sites about travelling China, also.

Thanks in advance,
Daniel :)

Try www.freetranslation.com.  Use the English to simplified Chinese
translation.

I think Lonely Planet or one of the other travel books have phrases
listed in the back.

An excellent book if you're travelling in countries where you
don't speak the language!

And if anyone's seen my copy, please let me know (I think I left it
somewhere in Vietnam...)
