We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Patong a few years back when our daughter
was 2 - it was great.  Restaurants well geared up for kids, with high
chairs, kid food etc.  They have kids beds, cots, kids pool and fridges that
don't have all the mini bar crap so you can fill them with you own stuff.

We stayed along Karon beach, in a place called Marina Phuket - my wife
and I will go back and stay there any day. The place is awesome, with
very easy access to the beach and has a couple of good resturants as
well. The rooms are in small cottage like structures - those that face
the ocean as well and those a little inside. The staff are very
friendly. They pick you up from Phuket airport and drop you back as
well.
