Im looking to take 2 weeks anywhere where theres peace and quiet, maybe a
few nice restraunts and a nice beach to lay on. Dont want any fancy hotel or
anything like that, would love like a small cabin type hut on a beach maybe.
Just somewhere to relax and get away from the "world" for a couple of weeks.
any help, links, ideas appreciated
cheers

Hello
This place sounds perfect for you!
Juan Titang beach resort, Palompon Leyte in the Philippines. (No where near
the mudslides)
They serve meals at the resort or you could catch a tricycle at the front
gate at a cost of P5 (about usd 10c) for the 2km trip into the middle of
town where there are several quaint restaurants, including some by the sea.
You can see a video of the Juan Titang beach resort here:

It was P800 per night at time of filming. I believe it may be P1,000 (about
usd $19) per night now
and it is situated on this beach

Take a look at rawasafari.com - we spent a chill out week there and
found it to be just the place

That link doesn't go anywhere, and a google on 'rawasafari' doesn't get any
hits.
Just how 'chilled out' were you? :-)

Boracay, Philippines.
If you want to kick back and just Veg out for a while, stay at one of
the places on Diniwid beach. If you'd just like a bit of peace and
quiet in a location more convenient to dining and barhopping than
Diniwid, stay on White Beach towards either the northern or southern
ends.

>From what you say, some of the places south of boat station 3 might fit
your bill. Orchids, perhaps, or Dave's - both along Arwana path, --
quiet, 1-2 minutes from the beach, close to several places to have a
good meal, 10-15 minutes from rowdy nightlife should you get the urge.

(this is a repost. I screwed up a URL (boracayinfo.net, not .com) on
the original response. I've requested removal of the screwed-up
original, but such removals are not 100.00% effective. Apologies if the
screwed-up original version confused you.)
