As per subject. Is there a beach in Myanmar that would be pleasant in
late June - not big waves or jellyfish?

Info
http://www.se-asia.com/burma/chaungtha_beach.php easy to get to with public
transport, only thing is leaving at 05.00 to get the bus at 06.30, most
people stay at Shwe Hin Tha Hotel (Mr George), price from $ 6, taxi WAS (Jan
2005) 4000/4500 per car. Exchange rate $ 1 = 1305 (source
http://www.irrawaddy.org/) when changing $100

According to http://www.exotissimo.com/newsletter/Issue35/page8.htm

---
June meant the start of the rainy season in Myanmar and a welcome
relief from the oppressing heat for the people and the dry conditions
for agriculture. For tours during that period the following things
should be kept in mind:
- Coastal areas are most affected by the monsoon. The beach areas (Ngwe
Saung, Chuang Tha and Ngapali) are rained in and most hotels,
especially in Ngapali, are closed. The Arakan region (Sittwe and Mrauk
U) will also be affected and is not recommended during this period
---

So it looks like a trip to anywhere on the West coast is not a good
idea.

Also

--
Ngwe Saung Beach [near Chaung Tha] is a seasonal destination from
October to May as during the rest of the year strong monsoon winds and
rain are part of every day life in this Myanmar region
...
The monsoon starts between mid-May and mid-June bringing frequent rains
particularly in the southern as well as western region of Myanmar which
last until September.
---

I guess that the answer is that there is no beach in Myanmar that is
nice during the rainy season.

And more from that site, quite handy:
The monsoon period in Myanmar means that especially in the south
(Yangon, Golden Rock, Moulmein) and in the west (Mrauk U and the
beaches) it can rain a lot during this period. Not only at the end of
the day, but in Yangon sometimes all day. Therefore we recommend
clients travelling in this period not to stay too long in Yangon but
spend more time upcountry in Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake. These areas
are much dryer.

...

In summary places to avoid during the rainy season in Myanmar are Mrauk
U, Ngapali Beach, Ngwe Saung Beach, Golden Rock and Moulmein. Trekking
is also not recommended during this time of year. Places that are
excellent for travelling during this time are Bagan, Moniwa, Mandalay,
Maymyo, Kalaw, Inle Lake and Pindaya.
