It sounds like you just went to Stingray City. Many operators there
like Captain Marvin will also take you to either one or two reefs in
addition to Stingray City. Or you can skip Stingray City and just do
the reefs. The reefs at Cayman are excellent.

You are correct in that I have not been to the reefs of Cayman, and
I'm sure they are good/excellent. But I was answering someone who was
holding up Stingray City specifically as the best place to
snorkel/dive in the Caribbean. I disagree with that assessment. You
don't even have to swim to do Stingray City let alone dive.
