I am going to be towing a 96 inch wide travel trailer.  I will need to
extend the OEM mirrors. Can anyone suggest a good fitting low vibration
towing mirror.  Preferably a slip on design.  Thank

These are the best I ever used. They fold when removed to reduce bulk.

I second that.  I used mine for 4 1/4 years and loved them.  Our new truck
has 'camper' mirrors so I have retired the McKesh mirrors.

The wind does not push them back?  Why not?  Nice simple design as per the
website.

Ron - are you interested in selling yours off perhaps?  I just bought a
taller pop-up and have trouble seeing behind me now, whereas before it was
fine.  I am looking at options now.  If you are, please email me at tomanml

Let me know approximately where you live too in case I would be able to pick
them up, thanks.  I am in NJ.

I am sure a strong wind may cause the mounting arm to flex back a little,
but it isn't noticeable.  If your asking if wind pushes the whole assembly
back the answer is not at all.  They have rubber like backing pad on the
three metal parts that go against your vehicle and it does a great job of
protecting the vehicle finish and gripping it at the same time.

Sorry, I would like to sell them, but won't try to ship them anywhere.  We
are half a country apart as I am currenty in far south Texas, live in
Oklahoma and summer in Wyoming and Montana.

in Mercedes, TX where it was 87 three hours ago but is now 69 and falling as
the cold front pushes through

Thanks for the thought anyway Ron - it was worth a shot.

Anyway - why does the wind not blow them inward?  It looks like they are
just hanging onto the strap.  Is there a second strap or something that goes
to the leading edge of the door?  What am I missing here?  Thanks.

You are missing that the mounting has three points not two, the upper
support has two tabs about 6 in apart that slide in between the window
and door. the strap is adjusted to make the mirrors horizontal. One hint
if you get a buzz around 65-70mph, twist the strap once( at the bottom
of the drawer of course).

Bill is right.  The top bracket that fits between the window and door is 6
or 8 inches long and keeps the wind from pushing the mirror back.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.  So if you were going to buy mirrors, this is
what you would get?  Or is there another.  I just did not want to spend this
much and am looking at options.

I bought a pair of the cheap plastic ones you clip on the stock mirrors.
They vibrate so bad you can't see anything:)
