I knew there was one in St. George, South Carolina

And google found another in Warwick, Georgia

But to me hands down, and one of the oldest festivals is the Chitlin
Strut in Salley, South Carolina. The scent of boiled chitlin is quite a
kick in the nose, but it disappears when battered and deep fried.

That's where I grew up!! They really know how to cook grits in that
part of the country!!
Caution, if you do go GA 300 through Warwick, be aware that they
derive 40% of their revenue from traffic fines, so 45 is the magic
number!

That's good advice for driving through ANY small town in SC or GA,
especially with an out-of-state license plate. And especially in an RV.
They especially love "them rich Yankee tourists." They know you'll pay
willingly not to have to come back for court in a month or whatever.
Won't cost a thing to slow down to the speed limit. Might cost a lot not
to.

And if you don't adapt in a hurry, a habit that will get you killed if
you try driving at that speed in Europe.

Back in the 60's there was a small town in Iowa that had a 45MPH sign
near the edge of town. About 50' past that was a big tree with a low
hanging branch hiding another sign showing 25MPH. They made a lot of
money that way and the cop was seemingly on duty 40 hours a day. BIG
JERK.
Finally, one of the locals put billboards on each end of the city
explaining the situation. The cops went ballistic but the courts let
them stay.
Regime change shortly after.

There was one in alabama over 30 years ago. The Attorney General send
a bunch of assistant da's there to camp out in some motorhomes, and
offer each person charged, that the state would defend them free of
charge if they agreed to take the ticket to trial.
It did not take long for the speed trap to fold after that began.
