From reading your posts about the AC and 20-30-50 amps I don't think you
understand the difference in Amps, Volts, Watts, resistance and power. Maybe
Neon John could explane this to you.

John could also explain how to spell explain.

Unless he was going to fly it to her - in which case it would be
"deplane it to her".

I thought "deplane" was when you got off one of those things.
Or when the little guy saw the aircraft approaching Fantasy Island.

Yeah. If he takes the explanation off the plane and gives it to her,
he's deplaned it to her.

I always wondered about that. The guy wasn't on the plane. Why's he
yelling at him to get off?

Furthermore, it was _clearly_ a "C"-plane (a "PBY"/"Catalina" type, no?), not
a "D"-plane.

As my Mexican friends might say, "Sea", señor.

plumbing analogy easy

here are the easy ones:

Amps = flow = gal/min
Volts = Pressure = PSI or dozen metric equivalents

Amps will kill ya, volts won't, from someone who's grabbed a few too
many spark plug wires

Huh?  Janet already knows everything.  Just ask her.

I do understand how to use amps and how to watch that volts don't get
too low. I'd rather someone else explain what I might not understand,
however.

You don't understand that said 13500 btu units will run easily on a 20
amp circuit.

Is a "btu unit" anything like a "PIN number" for an "ATM machine"?

Just curious.

Good try, but I was talking about the 2 [A/C] units - the OP's and mine.

TOTALLY different types of units -- but you already knew that that question
was silly, silly!

I knew what he meant, but the concept of a "British Thermal Unit unit"
still amused a couple of my grammatically hypervigilant brain cells.

Our contractor kept referring to "OSB board" until I asked him what OSB
stands for. When he answered "oriented strand board" he suddenly caught
on. Now he calls it simply "OSB."
