So why did you return to heatstroke country while summer is still in
full swing and hurricane season is on the horizon?

Da boss was missing the grand kids.  And you are right, it is Hot as
Hell and Humid to boot.  The motorhome is full of gas and on the ready
if a hurricane appears.

We arrived at the lake about 11:15.  It's now 12:15 and the temperature
is 62.9.  Breeze about 10 knots out of the NW.  Clouds are forming,
"popcorn" showers will be arriving later.

I had to zoom into the big city for an early blood test but we still
managed to depart the orchard by 0830.  Stopped for propane which was
down to fume status and took 18.4 gallons.  Fortunately only $1.69/gal
these days.  Gassed at  $2.43 on the road, then dumped tanks and filled
with water.  Son #1 has arranged a nice pad overlooking the lake.  The
view is spectacular.  I will have to leave him an extra shotgun in my will.

I've had lunch and a Negra Modelo and feel a nap coming on.  Better get
that in before the wimmen show up and start planning the evening menu.

I paid $3.45 for propane in Greeley, CO four days ago.  That pissed me
off but -------.

We  saw gasoline from $2.59 to $2.19 in Texas.  The highest gas prices
we saw on our way home was in Louisiana.  The cheapest we saw it was
$2.49.  That is the only state that we did not see gas cheaper than
$2.35.  Alabama at one time had cheaper gas but no more.  I guess they
have plopped a $.20 tax on each gallon.
