As a photographer who runs his own website www.picturesforwalls.com. I
am always on the look out for places of natural beauty/interest to
photograph. Having just returned from a shoot in Rio De Janerio, I  was
immediately struck by the beauty of the place. I am looking to book
trips for the upcoming year and was would be keen to hear from
travellers as to suggestions of where to photograph next.

Please could you give details of location, how you got there, any
diffculties or obstacles that needed to be overcome.

I am particularly keen to hear about places off the usual track so to
speak

Cheers
Mike

Crater Lake in Oregon, the week before Memorial Day, is the most
beautiful natural sight I've ever seen . . . repeatedly over the decades.

Hi, last June I drove from Vancouver eastwards to the Rockies in Alberta,
then up the Icefield Parkway to Jasper, back west to the coast at Prince
Rupert.  Then I took the ferry to Vancouver island and drove down to
Victoria.

I took nearly 400 photographs, some of which I have framed.  It was a
life-changing experience, and I mean to go back and do it again sometime!
It was absolutely awesome.

For something less grand, there is some very beautiful stuff here in
England - although smaller, of course!

Hi Tim,

My route was Vancouver, Penticton, Revelstoke, Banff, Jasper, Prince George,
Smithers, Prince Rupert, Ferry down the Inside Passage, Port Hardy, Campbell
River, Victoria, Vancouver.

I drove over 3,000 miles altogether, and if you look at a map you will see
this covers a huge variety of landscape and all the towns were lovely,
without exception - each different in its own way.  I completely fell for
Vancouver!  I took pictures all the way through.

I haven't put any pictures on the net - I took them at high resolution and
there are a few hundred megabytes.  When I get time, I intend to do a
selection of the best ones and put them online.  A couple of people have
actually used some of them in their material and as framed pictures.

If you're thinking of doing something similar, go for it!  You won't regret
it.

Hi again Tim.

I visited the northern Northumberland coast in September a couple of years
ago, and did some trips inland too.  I found it very moody and dramatic, and
would certainly go again. The southwest coast is good, but not particularly
easy to get to.  Derbyshire and the Lake District are good, but the Scottish
Highlands and Skye are probably my favourites for mountains.

I'm not particularly fond of most British cities these days.  I think they
are crowded, cluttered, sprawling and difficult to navigate (must be a
nightmare for foreigners!)  and often not particularly clean.  We do make up
for it, though,  with some gorgeous old buildings and cathedrals.

I'm in Staffordshire, and there's some very beautiful country just north of
the county, and I spend a lot of time on Cannock Chase.

I'm "doing" the Pacific Coast from Seattle to San Diego in the summer - so I
hope to get some more pictures!

What do you reckon to be worth a visit here?

Ah, yes. The trip along the Skeena River is truly magnificent as are
Banff and Jasper national parks.
