I am planning to fly from New Hampshire to Arizona this summer for a 2 week
vacation. I noticed Southwest airlines continues to offer specials that are
about a month in advance, but no real specials for this summer. Anyone know
what specials airlines offer for summer travel? Is it wise to wait a month
or so before I fly (going in early July), or will rates likely be high by
then, thus it may be best to get a so-so deal now rather than hope for a
large discount.
Right now Southwest is offering travel to NH to Vegas for $79 one way in
February into March, but those rates go up quite a bit for July. Not sure
where to lock into a bargain and when...any experience and info appreciated.

Oh that's funny about SouthWest. I'm a lot closer to Las Vegas than you
in San Jose, CA (SF Bay area), and my Southwest "special" to sin city
is the same as yours.
I don't have any wisdom about Summer Specials. It just depends exactly
when and what day of the week. Although, since Arizona ia so hot in the
summer (at least most of the state!), you might still get a decent
deal. Check Expedia for your dates to see what the other airlines are
doing.

Summer is the peak time to travel to Las Vegas, to find a good price
airfares. you
can check Expedia, Site59, cheapTicket and Onetravel's last minute
deals to get a good deal.
