Getting from San Fran airport to nob hill

Hi,
I'm flying from Vegas to SF tomorrow and I'm staying in a hotel in nob
hill (Castle Inn). I'm just wondering what the best way of doing it is?
I have quite a few bags which makes public transport a bit more
problematic, but not impossible. Can I get on a shuttle bus from the
airport, and do I have to book one in advance or can I just jump on one
when I get there? All advice welcome!
Cheers,
R.

Your bags may not be such a problem on BART, providing you can carry
them yourself, but lugging them up Nob Hill (if the Castle Inn is
indeed up Nob Hill and not one of those near Tenderloin joints that
plays on the name), well that'll be a bit tricky, but a short cab ride
should do it.

Have you checked with the hotel?  If not, why not?

See this link for Super Shuttle, and you can get a quote from SFO to
your hotel:

I just did a quote into an SF zipcode and it was $15.- for one person.

I'd suggest checking with your hotel. It's possible that they have a
free shuttle, or have an arrangement with a shuttle or cab service.  If
not, you can get the Super Shuttle at the airport, no appt necessary.

If you're travelling with anyone else, you might want to consider a cab
since you can split the fare, unlike a shuttle where each person has to
buy a ticket.

Yes. Just step outside. You'll see 'em.

That is extremely, like about 99.9%, unlikely.

I'd go to 100%. The only hotels with shuttles are the ones in the
immediate vicinity of the airport.

True, but some SF hotels have a web site where they provide information
on how to get there from SFO. The web site for the SFO airport also
contains a wealth of information about ground transportation options.

No it's not possible.  The only free shuttles are hotels near the
airport.
