Any budget airlines that fly toronto/NY please....?

Hi everyone.

We are looking to fly from Toronto (must be Pearson, as dropping off a
car) on the 1st oct to any NY airport, returning on the 3/4 th Oct.

ALL of the flights found are within £20 or so of £300 for the both of us
($630CAD or $566US)
Anyone know of any budget airlines that fly his route based over there,
that may allow us to get this cheaper please?

You could presuambly return the car elsewhere for a suitable fee, but
in this case I don't think it would help; I don't think any other Toronto
area airport has flights to New York.

I don't know if it's still true (I haven't taken a trip where it mattered
for a long time), but North American airlines used to discriminate between
leisure and business travelers -- thus allowing them to charge to each
market the price it would bear -- by whether they were willing to spend
Saturday night at their destination. If you can change your itinerary
to leave Toronto a day earlier, see if that reduces the air fare.

It might be cheaper for you to drive, but try posting your
question in the rec.travel.air group and consider traveling on different
dates.

Hi Charlie,

I looked for a ticket for you at

and I
was able to find tickets for less than $240 each departing on Oct. 1st
and return on 4th.
