After some delays due to work, and a horrible period when it looked as though I may have to cancel, all the stars aligned themselves 2 days ago. Got the car rental and 2 weeks of accommodation squared away in Kruger, and we are off this Saturday.

Has anyone stayed at Bateleur at Londolozi? It is the biggest camp at Londolozi (12 chalets) and was wondering if it seems crowded. The other camps at Londolozi are booked during the time we're there.

We are staying in Cape Town in late October and we're having problems deciding what area to stay in. We are in our early 30s, but are not drawn to the busy areas of town. We considered Camps Bay, but are thinking about disregarding it after finding out it can be quite busy.

I was up in Mpumalanga this long weekend at a small lodge called Malapo (www.malapo.co.za) They have a 14 inch telescope set up in an open boma. Guest are allowed to view directly thru the 'scope.
