Two weeks in Egypt29 Jul 2007 10:47 GMT9
I've never been to Egypt but I have the opportunity to go there for 14
days at the end of December.
I fly into Cairo, and I am hoping to meet up with a friend in
Alexandria if he can get there by a specific date. If I can't meet up
Mara Migration27 Jul 2007 22:24 GMT2
At last we are getting back to Kenya this week.
Does anyone know the current status of the migration in the Mara?
We normally go over to the Mara River, but worth knowing if the wildebeest
are 'in town'.

Snow in Johannesburg27 Jul 2007 11:34 GMT7
Yup, it snowed last night and this morning. It wasn't much (only about
an inch at most), but considering that the last time it snowed here
was 10 September1981, it's quitye a momentous occasion.
It's freezing cold at the moment, and the weatherman is predicting

Niles cruises14 Jul 2007 03:59 GMT4
I am thinking about a 1 week Nile cruise in Sep/Oct and I have heard that to
'beat the heat and crowds (and to suit their eating schedules) that the
cruise-tour organisers can get you up at 4am. Not a pleasant thoight doing
this many times on a one week cruise.
Your sweetest travel-companion.11 Jul 2007 21:01 GMT2
Kids love it.  Pregnant women love it.  Seniors
love it.  Travelgum takes discomfort away
and makes your trip a pleasant experience.
You can find your medical chewing gum against
Mombo & Duba camps - contact info11 Jul 2007 15:28 GMT3
Does anyone have the email info for these camps in Botswana, or their
main booking office?  On Google, all I get are travel agents (even
mombo.co.uk is an agent..)
Thanks,
American safety in Cairo09 Jul 2007 12:22 GMT3
My wife and I will be spending two days in Cairo over Christmas this
year.  I was wondering how safe we will be walking around the city.  I
have heard the best time to see the city is at night, but I'm leary
about being out after dark.  What should my concerns be, if any?  And
any singles holidays that let you do your own thing?08 Jul 2007 21:43 GMT7
I've found that being alone on holiday can be pretty depressing, so
I'm considering a holiday for single people - not to find a mate or
anything, just for the company.
The trouble is, I don't like holidays where you're shepherded around
Kilimanjaro03 Jul 2007 10:57 GMT2
I want to climb Kilimanjaro in either Nov-Dec 2007 or Feb.2008.
Any comments on which is the preferred time would be appreciated.
I was hoping to fly to Nairobi and go by ground transportation and
book my ascent trip upon arrival. I would probably climb Meru first.
Travelling in Malawi01 Jul 2007 09:25 GMT9
My husband and I have the project to travel this summer (in august) in
Malawi, with a french travel agency. It would be a safari, organized
for just the two of us, with an international flight Paris/
Johannesburg/Blantyre. Then we would take the road until Liwonde
