Two questions: 1. These days, with the extra security, will airlines (SQ, LH) allow me to take my photographic tripod onboard as carry-on (a decent sized Manfrotto tripod)? I have done this in the past, but not since August 2001.

Has the actual route (waypoints) been announced for the new Toronto to Delhi flight? There was a long discussion here in 2001 about non-stops from Toronto and Chicago to India and the direct route is over Siberia

Just tried to find total fare and routing from LAX to Kotzebue (up on the Chukchi Sea in Alaska), and it kept sending me from LAX to San Diego, facrynoutloud, then to Anchorage. Why start in wrong direction? Any clues out there?

I need to buy a one-way ticket from Barcelona (BCN) to Madrid (MAD). It's my understanding that Air Europa, Spanair, and Iberia provides service on this route... perhaps there are others such as discounters I'm not aware of (?)
