Carry-on and luggage question08 Jul 2003 14:59 GMT2
Two questions:

take my photographic tripod onboard as carry-on (a decent sized Manfrotto
tripod)? I have done this in the past, but not since August 2001.
United Airlines goofed big time08 Jul 2003 13:53 GMT1
I am not even sure why I am writing this, perhaps just to vent.
I was in Toronto ready to board a flight to Chicago.  I go through U.S.
Immigration, but needed to spend some time with the authorities to clarify
some issues.  Someone from United (on which airline I was to fly) came ...

any info.

Rapists and Robbers have a New Weapon08 Jul 2003 04:37 GMT2
An American gentleman was traveling by himself on a bus through Mexico. A nice local man sat next to him on the crowded bus. They began a friendly conversation and the local man warned the American about the thieves that prey on travelers. He warned the American to watch out for ...

Passenger's flight fiasco - Another 'wrong city' story...08 Jul 2003 00:44 GMT5
I have never gotten on the wrong plane, but there have been times when
something like this could have happened to me...
Once, I took a wrong turn down a jetway that had a 'Y' in it, leading
to two different planes (same departure gate).  I don't recall the
Re: Air Canada - nonstop Toronto Delhi daily service08 Jul 2003 00:25 GMT3
Has the actual route (waypoints) been announced for the new Toronto
to Delhi flight?
There was a long discussion here in 2001 about non-stops from Toronto
and Chicago to India and the direct route is over Siberia
Air Force One07 Jul 2003 22:45 GMT34
I was watching the PBS documentary they were showing this week
about AF1, and as they had shown the progression from the planes used
back in Franklin Roosevelt's tenure as President, to the B707 from
Kennedy to Reagan, to the current AF1 (at least that they showed in the
Best Way to Find Out About Air Fares Sales?07 Jul 2003 18:49 GMT1
How do you find out about the sales that a certain airline may be
having? I do get the emails from the airlines but many times they have
one day sales and I never seem to hear about them.
Buffalo Flight Priceline07 Jul 2003 16:22 GMT4
I am pleased that I have beaten hotwire and orbitz once again.  I
started out at $85 dollars a ticket and changed dates once (and back to
the original) and  fought off alot of counteroffers by lowerfare and
priceline.  Being priceline savy helped me realize that the

Just tried to find total fare and routing from LAX to Kotzebue (up on
the Chukchi Sea in Alaska), and it kept sending me from LAX to San
Diego, facrynoutloud, then to Anchorage. Why start in wrong direction?
Any clues out there?
Air Europa, Spanair, or Iberia ?  + Madrid Airport Hotel suggestion ?07 Jul 2003 10:47 GMT5
I need to buy a one-way ticket from Barcelona (BCN) to Madrid (MAD).  It's
my understanding that Air Europa, Spanair, and Iberia provides service on
this route... perhaps there are others such as discounters I'm not aware of
