Continental DOMESTIC Business First Class (update note)13 Jul 2003 16:09 GMT1
There were recent threads in rec.travel.air, in which posters
argued, especially Vitaly Schmatsky, that CO does NOT have
Business First on domestic flights.  Their arguments were based
entirely on their MISREAD of the Continental webpage cited by

Has anyone ever gone to Japan by themselves on vacation without knowing any
Japanese? What were your impressions, getting around and such?
Has anyone flown there on Delta? How was the service and the flight and all
that?

Will be going IAH\OAK next month (almost 4 hr flt).  Seems I get a
"snack".  Going out - will arrive 11:40 (not lunchtime). Coming back -

my own?
Bart to SFO12 Jul 2003 19:50 GMT13
Hi all  Yesterday, having nothing better to do, my wife and I decided to
check out the new Bart extension to SFO.  This has been ballyhooed for years
as the savior of public transportation to and from the airport.  The results

Credit card billing address: why the rule?12 Jul 2003 10:23 GMT11

Hotwire, will only sell tickets if they are purchased using a credit
card whose billing address is in the country where the flight
originates?
Any experiences with this rental brooker?12 Jul 2003 07:54 GMT1
in august I am flying from Zagreb to Atlanta and will rent a car for 3 weeks.
So far the best inclusive rates I found are on www.usa-carrental.com. They charge
780$ for an intermediate car/21 days/CDW+SLI included. By far better then
holidayautos.com.

Car insurance when renting car in US?11 Jul 2003 17:01 GMT27
I'll be flying from Paris to New York soon and will need to rent a car for 3 weeks.
I was told that since I don't have a US car insurance that I will need to purchase
the "Loss Damage Waiver" when renting a car in NYC.
I checked Hertz, Avis, Alamo etc. and LDW seems to be arround ...

Varig CDG-AMS: Schengen?11 Jul 2003 07:41 GMT3
Friends will be flying CDG-AMS next month on Varig... since both France and
the Netherlands are Schengen member states, does that also mean for sure
that particular flight will not require customs/immigrations processing?
I.e., friends will just step off the plane and walk directly ...
CO Intl Service on 777 ?11 Jul 2003 05:25 GMT7
I've never flown CO internationally (other than to/from Mexico and Canada
and those flights are similar to domestic flights from a service
standpoint).   Anyway - my question:
I will be flying CO from Madrid to Newark (Equipment listed is a Boeing
