FF Award - Star Alliance - Is this an ok Iternary31 Aug 2003 20:47 GMT1
I know I should ask UA before asking this group but .....   I want to book
a EWR-PER FC roundtrip with a 2 day stop over in SIN on Singapore Airlines
using FF miles.  The way I read it the rules, this is permissible using 120K
miles.  It looks ike the route would be ...
oversold conditions31 Aug 2003 18:19 GMT11
Any one able to see how oversold the DL flight 133 Athens to JFK is on sep
19th? We are holding tickets but couldn't get seats and past experience
tells me that this is not a good thing. I know that the flight is full just
wondering how bad things are likely to be.
City Jet vs aer Lingus?30 Aug 2003 19:25 GMT6
I'm looking to book a flight from Paris CDG to Dublin.  I have a
choice of using either Air France (through a partner, City Jet)  or
Aer Lingus.  Times of the flights and prices are comparable.  I've
flown Air France many times and like it, but never heard of City Jet.
Singapore Airlines - MEL-AKL-LAX30 Aug 2003 12:50 GMT1
If this comes through it would be great! A decent airline flying to the US
again after UAL pulled out of the AKL-LAX leg leaving NZ the only Star
Alliance carrier - one with no PTVs, no sleeper seats in 1st or Business and
worst of all no in seat power in business, and possibly not ...
767 from HNL to San Juan? 30 Aug 2003 07:39 GMT2
Flight Simulator 2002 randomly generates other
traffic in the skies and airports and I notice the other day
one program generated flight, a 767-300, requested
clearance from HNL to San Juan. That is about 5,600

Airline Seat Availability on the Net29 Aug 2003 12:53 GMT3
Hello there ---
For quite a few years I have been using the normally excellent www.itn.net
website for checking seat availability (after setting User Prefs to "expert"
(!) etc ) on the world's airlines -- most of my travel is on a standby basis
Creamy Goodness Farm air travel tip29 Aug 2003 05:58 GMT2
Your boar can sit next to you for half fare if he is your legal spouse.
And I am not a gremlin on the wing of the plane, they just strap me there
because I don't fit through the hatch.

SWA discount coupons?29 Aug 2003 05:33 GMT7
I'm looking at doing some internal flights whilst in the US and noticed on
their a mention of discount coupons. This peeked my curiosity so i'm
asking...
Anyone know where these can be found??
Yahoo! Airline news28 Aug 2003 14:38 GMT1
Does anyone know a  back door entry to the ol' Yahoo airlines/aviation
news that listed ALL of the days news instead of just the top three as
in now? I'm sure you all know what I am talking about... I just hate the
new format.
What is it with some of you parents?28 Aug 2003 02:03 GMT8
I'm sitting in the airport bar at SNA, trying to check my email, but I can't
even think about concentrating on what I'm reading because some jackass
family has brought their screaming infant INTO THE BAR and won't take the
damn thing out.  The baby is, literally, shrieking at the ...

any experience of getting compensation from Easyjet?27 Aug 2003 16:42 GMT9
I was recently due to travel from Newcastle to Bristol, but the flight
was first delayed by an hour, then cancelled. It was about 10pm, there
was a huge queue at Easyjet's desk, and by the time I was seen, the
woman on duty said they'd given out the last of the hotel rooms, but
FF miles worth it for occasional traveller?27 Aug 2003 15:57 GMT7
Is it worth it for a non-business traveller to keep track of frequent
flyer miles, if I only take two, maybe three round-trips per year?  I
shop for price, and therefore am not loyal to any one airline (altho
it's usually United). I book online, but not consistently with any one
