A little airport-airline trivia...let's see who knows?09 Aug 2003 14:03 GMT3
Which airport in the world has the most different airlines flying in and out?
Is it Ohare, JFK, Heathrow, Frankfurt, or Atlanta?
10 seconds are starting now....

Frankfurt to Istanbul08 Aug 2003 23:12 GMT6
Are there any such thing as a German equivalent to Orbitz or
Travelocity? I've looked at flights from Frankfurt to Istanbul on
Lufthansa, LTU, Turkish Air, and some others I can't remember and they
all seem way overpriced.
Question about taking frozen food on plane08 Aug 2003 18:56 GMT2
I am flying from Cincinnati tomorrow to my home in South Carolina.  My family
told me they were having a cookout this weekend, and asked me to bring some
good local Cincinnati sausages with me.  I bought about ten pounds of bratwurst
and hot italian sausage, and froze it immediately ...

CO66 CLE-LGW is listed as a 757
CO66 LAX-CLE is listed as 757
Is there a plane change in CLE, or does the "international"  (16/156) cabin
configuration fly from LAX-CLE-LGW.

A travel agent story/dilemna, what would you do?08 Aug 2003 13:55 GMT3
A friend called a well regarded "ethnic" (Indian) travel agency (he has
dealt with them before, but this is a high turnover business and people
known to him were gone). He told the woman he wanted to visit Delhi
with stop-overs in X and Y, is it possible and what would be the
Please settle dispute non-rev passengers08 Aug 2003 11:53 GMT1
Does Delta charge by the mile?  Nationwide?  International?  Or, charge the
taxes for the most commonly quoted fare?  Is the non-rev passenger charged
differently if they are the employee, family or buddy?   Please settle --
there's some $$ riding on this one.  (ok, yeah, we were ...
UA flight operated by BMI08 Aug 2003 07:30 GMT6
In September, I'm going to fly MAN-ORD on a UA flight operated by BMI, then
ORD-PHX on UA.
Since the first hop is a UA flight in some respect, will I be able to
check-in for the second flight at the same time as the first?  Or, since
BWI (Amtrak) -> BWI (airport)08 Aug 2003 06:37 GMT2
BWI (Amtrak) -> BWI (airport): Bus, right?
How often does it run/how long does it take/how much does it cost?
Dash 8-100--first flight08 Aug 2003 06:11 GMT1
I have an upcoming trip that will likely involve flying on a DeHavilland
Dash 8-100 aircraft. I've never flown in anything smaller than an MD-80.
At 6' 6" and 300 lbs, I am concerned as to whether I can fit into the Dash
8-100 seats, much less be comfortable. I also wonder how well ...
What If Plane is Late?07 Aug 2003 22:05 GMT3
Suppose I am flying from city A to city B on airline X and from city B to
city C on airline Y and then taking a cruise from city C. Airline X and Y
have nothing to do with each other and I make my reservations for all three
portions of the trip separately. Suppose airline X is late ...
Lieberman: Dems Must Shun Gov't Programs 07 Aug 2003 20:00 GMT1
[Seems to me that Lieberman is no better for the US than the
neo-conservative evangelicals currently running the White House.  I'd
be very wary of his agenda and platform.  He apparently loves the war
on Iraq, and is against big gov't spending (but has never seen a

Domodedevo population07 Aug 2003 04:09 GMT3
Well, I flew in and out of Domodedevo over the past 2 weeks and didn't
see one single plane that was part of a western airline.
I am sure Swiss-Air and British Airways still fly in/out there, but
there were no other airlines represented that I could see. Lots of
smoking on planes07 Aug 2003 03:05 GMT3
Are there any Airlines that still allow smoking on their aircraft??
