How to tell if metal sets off alarm?15 Sep 2003 19:23 GMT2
I have a certain pair of shoes that I take off before going through
security.  The shoe lace holes are metal (I think. I'm always asked to take
them off).  How can I tell if these shoes will set off any alarms without
having to go through the detector?
Continental Biz Class lounge Gatwick/Newark15 Sep 2003 14:46 GMT1
Does anyone have any experience/images/feedback on the Business

to know whether I should use them, or buy into the Virgin Clubhouse.
Also - any feedback on the seat/food/ents would be good - specifically

Has anyone used an American Airlines flight voucher? I got one last spring when
I as bumped on a flight. I was wondering how I use it. Do I have to call and

flight finder websites?

I am trying to take a 5-7 night trip to Hawaii or the Mexican Riviera
and am wondering about vacation packages.  I was trying to piece a few
differnt things together and found a package feature on Orbitz.  I saw
a few trips in my $550-650 range which is great and the packages look
Don't Fly HMY Airways14 Sep 2003 04:51 GMT2
I don't care how cheap they are, it is not worth it.
They lost 4 passengers' baggage on my flight alone.  When they finally found
it, they couldn't even get it to me in time or return my calls and tell me
where they were.  On top of that, they delivered them to the wrong address.

CX + VS12 Sep 2003 16:31 GMT1
What are your opinions about:
1) Is HKG-YVR-JFK-LHR-HKG and HKG-LHR-JFK-YVR-HKG a good idea for CX?
2) Is LHR-HKG-SYD a good idea gor VS?
3) The chances of CX and VS winning the rights to LHR-JFK and HKG-SYD?

How will the color coding scheme work?12 Sep 2003 05:25 GMT1
Does anyone know what criteria will be used for the proposed color
coding scheme for identifying risky air passengers?
Anyone have a complete list of what will make someone a "yellow" or a
"red"?
Why do airlines show movies on red eye flight.11 Sep 2003 21:56 GMT18
Just took a flight from Sacto to Chicago.  Boarded at 11:30 pm.  They
brought drinks, a pack of little salty snacks.  And when everyone was
settled in and getting comfortable to go to sleep, they started a movie.
Yeah that's exactly what I wanted in the middle of the night.  I have ...

I'm looking at a return trip BNE-LAX, leaving on the 13th December and
returning on the 2nd.
Travel agents etc. say things are fully booked, but the Air NZ website
seems to be saying they've got seats free on the 7xxx flight numbers -
