complaints - tips?09 Oct 2003 16:23 GMT4
I am intending to make a complaint about my flight last night. What I
want to know is where can I find information to quote about rules and
regulations regarding carriage. Are they specific to each country or
carrier? Or are there international rules?

Next Sunday I will fly from UK to Houston international airport, and 4 hours later fly out

Got to the room about 10 PM, watched about 1 hr of commercial traffic then
the FDX/UPS parade started. Saw an AF taking off--couldn't tell if it was a

US Tourist Visa08 Oct 2003 18:53 GMT203
Many of us know that after 9/11, the US State department raised Visa
processing fees for citizens of those countries that need a Visa to
enter the US across the board to $100, citing additional costs due to
security and background checks.  Naturally many of those countries
Why me?08 Oct 2003 18:12 GMT23
On the last 3 occasions that I have travelled to the US from the UK
with my family ( a total of 5 of us) we have been subjected to a
thorough security check at airports.  Not the usual cursory check of
hand luggage and a walk through the metal detector, but the full blown

Been a while since I've been there...are the major rental cars in the

Flight-Picks.com ~ Mileage Runs / Fare Code Specifics08 Oct 2003 05:06 GMT2
Has anyone used flight-picks.com? Might be useful for booking mileage
runs, it allows 6 city pairs in multi-leg (if you edit the html) and
shows the fare codes. No online booking bonuses though...
Another cool feature is it allows you to book for a specific fare
How to serve an egg? (NOT off-topic) 08 Oct 2003 04:06 GMT13
I was just chatting with a friend who works as a flight attendant instructor
for an airline. (name of airline withheld for privacy reasons) He is having
an argument with his co-instructor about the way a boiled egg should be
served: pointed end up or down in the egg-holder.

Any chance in RyanAir going to offer overseas (USA) connections?07 Oct 2003 10:31 GMT47
Any chance in RyanAir going to offer overseas (USA) connections? Many years ago
there were a number of cheap fares from London to NYC. Now it seems sub $200
roundtrip is nonexistent.
Any alternatives?
Upgraded without status07 Oct 2003 09:56 GMT8
I have had friends who are infreqent flyers (a round trip or less a year)
who because of oversold reservations have been upgraded to BC on INTL trips
