I have just heard that a strike will go ahead for some baggage handlers and

airlines) are affected?

A340 vs. 77730 Oct 2003 12:10 GMT8
Has anybody here flown on both?  If so, which did you prefer?  I've been on
the 777 and not been very impressed, but I think that was mostly United's
fault.
Pilot refuses to fly fat lady, sets off flight fracas30 Oct 2003 02:52 GMT36
CAIRO, Oct 24 (AFP) - An EgyptAir pilot refused to take off Friday because
he said one of the plane's passengers was too fat, an airport source said.
The pilot feared the flight to Dubai would trigger medical problems in the
female passenger, whose identity and weight ...
Deer Delta Airlines30 Oct 2003 02:22 GMT38

jets.  Please to be taking note of this.

Nauseating tributes to Concorde30 Oct 2003 01:01 GMT15
If you shovel billions of dollars of taxpayers' money into an aeroplane it's
hardly surprising if it turns out to be a technological marvel. What is most
nauseating is hearing the celebrities moan about how they won't be able to
cross the Atlantic so quickly in the future. Every ...

BHX this afternoon29 Oct 2003 22:53 GMT12
A friend is supposedly flying to Gran Canaria this afternoon at 18:50 on an
airtours holiday (presumably, or probably, an MYT flight).
There is no such flight listed on the live departures. Who is right and who
is rong?

Southwest called to thank me!29 Oct 2003 17:43 GMT28
I'm shocked and pleased. We sent a suggestion to Southwest a couple of
weeks ago, and a very nice lady called yesterday to express her
appreciation on behalf of the company. I expected it to be glanced at and
round-filed at most; this was a delight, being able to discuss it in ...
Tips to get a good international fare29 Oct 2003 17:28 GMT5
I'm flying from Los Angeles to Sydney in December (Dec. 12-29).  A
couple of months ago, fares were running around $1,200.  Now they're
up over $2,000.  I'm seeing sales for around $800, but for dates
earlier than I can go.
