Available Carriers,  Miami-Amsterdam14 Nov 2003 20:27 GMT12
Not going until next May, but I require  decent spacing and room to move
about on this 8 hr plus flight.  What is the best equipment going across
the pond right now, say the best three?  Thanks in advance---

Distance between airports:  consistent (between carriers), web site?14 Nov 2003 16:51 GMT3
For the purpose of allocating frequent flyer miles, is the distance
(in miles) between airports consistant between carriers?
Assuming it is, is there a web site where I can punch up the distance
between any 2 airports?
Flight from Toronto or Buffalo - why such big price difference?14 Nov 2003 16:37 GMT15
Hello everyone;
I was wondering if perhaps someone could explain to me the folowing:
Yesterday I was checking ticket prices (on Expedia and Travelocity) for
flights from Toronto to Cairo for the next year (in the spring time). The
1 GBP accross the USA14 Nov 2003 16:20 GMT3
There apparently is an offer in this weekends daily and Sunday Telegraph.
Buy a discounted United ticket to the USA (either coast) and get a free
internal return flight for 1 GBP.
Probably lots of conditions as usual - but may be of interest to someone.
They changed the name of Atlanta International Airport.14 Nov 2003 15:33 GMT19
I think it's a rather dumb idea.  The airport has been plain Hartfield for

one I can think of off-hand is "Back in the U.S.S.R.: by the Beatles
which mentions the old BOAC.
Starting today, you can lock your bags again (maybe) - news story14 Nov 2003 08:29 GMT30
I am cautiously optimistic about this news.  Time will tell, but I for
one will be buying a few of these locks as soon as I can.  I suspect
it will take awhile for the boneheads working for the TSA to get the
word, so I'm sure some of the new locks will be cut anyway.  Anyway,
