| Ground transportation at ATL | 06 Nov 2003 22:31 GMT | 5 |
I'm curious to know if there's any kind of commuter train at ATL? I need to go form ATL to Harris and Cuurtland in Atlanta (11.3 miles according to Yahoo Maps). I can't drive. I'm looking for an inexpensive, but efficient way to make the trip. I know those two

| Booking, holding tickets, confirmation codes, etc... | 06 Nov 2003 20:00 GMT | 1 |
Long story short is that tickets were booked (on US Air) and 6-character confirmation numbers were given. Booking done over the phone to a real US Air agent (who identified an itinerary and (low) price that was not being shown on the US Air web site) Credit card

As a passenger, this won't make much of a difference, as travelling through the area from NW USA to Southern California will be transparent, but as a pilot, this makes a HUGE difference. You may see some delays in arrivals to all of SoCal for quite a while.

| US wants airlines to keep paying security costs | 06 Nov 2003 05:13 GMT | 3 |
Again the current administration preaches security and yet at the same time doesn't want to pay for it. I agree that most US airlines have been poorly run (the main clause of their currant state, not 9/11), but shouldn't security be the responsibility of the airports or the ...

| US Airways PHL-GLA to start | 05 Nov 2003 19:25 GMT | 17 |
US just announced that it is going to start seasonal PHL-GLA service next year on a 762. I assume this is because they now have a free 762 due to cancellation of PIT-LGW. Since US runs its long-haul fleet to the max, it makes me wonder if they would have opened up another

| New airport security system unveiled | 05 Nov 2003 14:59 GMT | 13 |
Our pencil-dicked beancounters still don't get it. If exit control is not bulletproof, travelers who leave before their visa expires but aren't recorded as such will be treated as a terrorist on their next visit. Unfortunately, integrity is not highly valued in the USA,

| MyTravel Airways flights LGW to Toronto | 05 Nov 2003 04:12 GMT | 4 |
I've been looking at flight prices for next summer between Lon and Toronto. In the past I've always flown on AC or BA both of whom are expensive. Much cheaper are charter flights with MyTravel Airways. I was wondering if anyone has used them and whether they are any good or
