Rome - Leonardo da Vinci train Transfer23 Apr 2004 19:46 GMT6
I'm arriving to Rome on May 1st and need to take a train to Florence.
Can I directly catch a train from the airport to Florence or do I need
to take the train to Termini and find the Florence train from there?
Thanks.
Delta: Let's Pack 'Em In23 Apr 2004 19:22 GMT1
According to AvWeek this week, Delta Airlines is decreasing available
seat pitch on it's 767-300ER aircraft to add additional rows in coach.
This is their response to competition from JetBlue and a similar move
perviously announced by American for AA 757s and A300s...
Anyone tried this?23 Apr 2004 19:07 GMT51
In my unending search for ways to keep myself amused on long-haul
transoceanic flights, I'm going to try bring movies with me to play on my
computer, a Sony Vaio notebook.
WinDVD works extremely well on my laptop -- video quality is excellent (far

Experts tell us we all came from Africa.
So we were all niggers once.
Travelling with hand-held GPS receivers23 Apr 2004 03:19 GMT7
How do you pack your GPS receivers on the plane?
Do you take it in a carry-on bag or do you put it in your checked luggage?
I've been putting it in my checked luggage (so's not to freak out the TSA
screeners) but now I'm concerned about theft by the TSA searchers so I'm
Booked on one airline--operated by another -- which gate?23 Apr 2004 03:17 GMT3
I booked a flight from Washington (DCA) to New York (LGA) on United Airlines
Flight#2986 which is operated by US Airways.  At LGA, there is a separate
terminal for US Airways versus United, which is at the main terminal.  Where
will my flight land?  Shall I tell my sister to pick me ...

"Missed" Return Flight22 Apr 2004 10:02 GMT9
Hope someone can help me.  I need a flight from London to Lisbon in July at
a reasonable cost.  Having looked at various websites it seems a one-way
flight is stupidly expensive and I could get a return with BA for £135.
There is no way that I will be using the "return" part of my ...

Whilst Boeing in the past used work for military to develop commercial
aircraft, this time around, Airbus is doing the opposite: It will be building
SFO BART Connection22 Apr 2004 01:52 GMT4

on it, but as a traveler it was SOOOO NICE to be able to hop on a
train just a few minutes after leaving the terminal and getting
