I entered Spain though Alicante Airport three weeks ago at about 11 p.m.

Pratt left out. GE and Rolls get the contract to build engines for the 7E7.
There is now a nice twist: Boeing requires that the engines be "plug
compatible", which would allow a customer to replace a GE engine wth Rolls
should GE start to charge too much for spare parts.

Does any body have an informed opinion on whether or not air fares to cental
europe, Praha, will drop between now and the end of may?  Right now they are
more than twice as high as I have paid in the last 6 years.  Lowest round
trip SFO to PRG that I can find are over $800.

How common is it for an airline to cancel a flight for economic
reasons, but say it is mechanical?
My DEN/SEA flight on Alaska was cancelled the other day, not because
the aircraft itself had a mechanical problem, but one on another line

I am due to fly LON-OPO on PGA Portuglia soon - Can I earn miles for this
flight on any of the major Frequent Flyer Programmes?

We are going to be taking an Antarctica/South Georgia/Falklands
expedition cruise next year that starts in Santiago.  The cost then covers
the flight to Ushuaia where we meet the ship.
