Faith in Alitalia?11 May 2004 18:36 GMT2
I'm flying to Rome at the end of June, and have a choice of Alitalia
(Business) or Continental (Business-First).  I'm somewhat leery of
booking AZ at this point because of their financial uncertainty.  Any
sense whether their issues are likely to come to a head by next month?

I saw a Ryanair aircraft at Stansted last week, and on one  side it had the
words "Auf Wiedersehen Lufthansa" in letters about a foot high. Anyone know
why?

10 to 14 380s in 200611 May 2004 09:37 GMT82
Well, looks like the beast is really going to be real... Of course, the timing
of this strangely coincides with Boeing's launch of 7E7, probably a feeble
attempt at tarnishing Boeing's 15 seconds of fame in the newscasts tonight.

Anyway to search for  flights  for a fixed dollar amount? Ex. set the origin, Set cost for $100, and then search for all destinations.11 May 2004 03:17 GMT1
All:
I was reading an article in the Washington Post, about people who see how
far they can fly for a set figure, in this case $100.
Does anyone know of any travel related search engine that will let you enter
Expected Checkin times for MHT11 May 2004 00:19 GMT11
What should I expect as a checkin time on a Saturday morning for a 7:00
flight from MHT (Manchester, NH)? I called USAir and the woman said 90
minutes before asking the day, time or airport so that must be an automatic
answer. I assume someone out there flies from MHT regularly.
DUO's demise makes BIA crawl back to Ryanair10 May 2004 21:25 GMT2
I was chatting to a friend who works at Birmingham International today and
she said that the BIA executives are so taken aback by DUO's demise, they
are prepared to attract any budget airline to take its shoes, including
trying to entice Ryanair back to Elmdon.

Dollars vs. Euro10 May 2004 20:26 GMT155
I am not sure what the Bush administration is doing but I've been noticing
the dollar is on the decline at almost constant rate against the Euro and
many other currencies. Then again, if one thinks about it, the weak dollar
is boosting the profit for the multi-national ...
Train Station at Frankfort International Airport (FRA)10 May 2004 19:32 GMT6

UK - Kaliningrad  How??10 May 2004 17:29 GMT4
I and a friend (he was born there when it was Koenigsberg, East
Prussia) want to visit Kaliningrad, Russian  Autonomous Region between
Poland and Lithuania.  There don't seem to be any direct flights from
the UK.  There's a nightly train from Berlin which is a 16 hour job,
When is the cheapest time to fly?10 May 2004 15:27 GMT1
Do air travel prices simply change with the seasons - ie, expensive in
summer, cheap in winter?
Specifically I want to know about Australia-UK travel.
UK winter seems to be the cheapest. But are there more expensive times
