New low cost international airline23 Sep 2004 13:35 GMT3
Apparently there's a new, international-only, low fare airline that's
starting service soon. They seem to be taking a really unconventional
approach by building what looks to be a hi-tech airline and turning to
potential customers to define their image and product.

On October 18th 2003, I was taking an Alaska plane number 444 from

Are these airports close together? Is there a shuttle bus service?
Just Give Up on USAirways23 Sep 2004 08:15 GMT72
This is a futile effort.  The rest of the airlines will be better off if
they just go away.  Maybe United and Delta will pick up on USAir's business
and survive.
Even pilots working for free can't save USAirways.
US back in Chapter 1123 Sep 2004 07:53 GMT20
Not liquidation... yet...
I want to make you aware of an important but necessary step our company has
taken. US Airways has filed a petition for reorganization under Chapter 11
of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. This action is intended to provide the airline

SPITTING ON PLANES22 Sep 2004 15:06 GMT3
I know that it is illegal to smoke on planes (at least in the US).  Is there
any law against chewing plug tobacco on board?  One could use a paper cup or
the air sick bag as a portable spitoon if one isn't allowed to bring a brass
one and set it on the floor.
Flying Milano - Catania, Volareweb22 Sep 2004 12:57 GMT5
I am thinking of flying from Milano Linate (LIN) to Catania, Sicily
(CTA). Carrier would be Volareweb.
Does anyone know how far out Linate is from the Milan train station and
if it is easy enough to get there in short time?
