Apparently there's a new, international-only, low fare airline that's
starting service soon. They seem to be taking a really unconventional
approach by building what looks to be a hi-tech airline and turning to
potential customers to define their image and product.

On October 18th 2003, I was taking an Alaska plane number 444 from
(Washington) Seattle to (California) Ontario airport to visit my
daughter, and I received the most unbelievably mistreatment on this
plane.

How much hassle is this transfer ?
Are these airports close together? Is there a shuttle bus service?

This is a futile effort.  The rest of the airlines will be better off if
they just go away.  Maybe United and Delta will pick up on USAir's business
and survive.
Even pilots working for free can't save USAirways.

I know that it is illegal to smoke on planes (at least in the US).  Is there
any law against chewing plug tobacco on board?  One could use a paper cup or
the air sick bag as a portable spitoon if one isn't allowed to bring a brass
one and set it on the floor.

I am thinking of flying from Milano Linate (LIN) to Catania, Sicily
(CTA). Carrier would be Volareweb.
Does anyone know how far out Linate is from the Milan train station and
if it is easy enough to get there in short time?
