Qantas and Air NZ tied up over22 Sep 2004 10:00 GMT1
Courts have ruled that the proposed tied up of Australian Qantas with New
Zealand Air New Zealnd  would be anti competitive and drive prices up. The
airlines agreed that the tied up was not worth pursuing, especially since both
airlines have improved their health since the tie up ...
St. Louis public transport.21 Sep 2004 22:14 GMT4
I may have to travel to St. Louis, Missouri, in the new year.  What options
are there to travel from the airport to South City?  I don't think I can
rent a car (I'm 23, and British) so that leaves me bus/train/cab I guess.
Any help would be appreciated.
Lufthansa "Miles and Less" ? Why Star Alliance FF Discrepencies ?21 Sep 2004 21:36 GMT3
For a few years now I've been happily handing over my Lufthansa Miles and
More card whenever I fly on a Star Alliance carrier, purely because a few
years ago I did a lot of flying on Lufthansa and therefore I had
accumulated a fair amount of reward points.

NY TIMES: Cogently Explains Dilemma of Employees21 Sep 2004 02:39 GMT4
(caveat: in order to read the nytimes online, one registers for their
outrageous exploitative marketing capitalist cookie--it's a sacrifice of one's
constipational freedom, so fergit it, tho be ignorant of a damn good article
about the personnel who do the heavy lifting)
Austrian & STAR RTW flights21 Sep 2004 01:54 GMT14
Austrian airlines has flighst 001 and 025 from Vienna to Bangkok/Sydney
The STAR RTW document provides a list of Austrian flights which do not apply
to Star RTW package. They start at 1000.
However, CRS systems indicate that both 001 and 025 flights are operated by
O'Hare or Midway21 Sep 2004 00:39 GMT11
I don't like to fly; I'll do it, but I need a little Xanax to get through
it. Don't ask me to explain, because I can't. I have a choice of flying to
Detroit from either O'Hare or Midway. Excuse a dumb question, but are there
any differences between them that would affect my flying ...
Food on American Airlines20 Sep 2004 19:52 GMT24
Does AA still serve food and drinks on their intercontinental flights
(boston-london) in economy class? I got a flight next week, so I would
like to know if I should eat beforehand and stack up on sandwitches
and drinks, or....
Which Star Alliance airline for my FF miles now?20 Sep 2004 19:09 GMT10
Since I live in upstate New York, where the dominant airline is US
Airways (and before that, Allegheny and Mohawk) I'm a US Air Gold
Elite frequent flyer with a , an pair of honor that are looking less
valuable every day.
Ryanair20 Sep 2004 18:47 GMT14
Forewarned is forearmed.
On 02 August this year we boarded a Ryanair plane in Malaga for a
scheduled 2.5 hour non-stop flight to Dublin, Ireland. We arrived in
Dublin 3.5 hours late.
