Just got back from a trans-Atlantic trip, SEA-CVG-AMS; MUC-ATL-SEA

Delta may postpone bankrupcy27 Oct 2004 20:19 GMT6
Delta got $600 million in help from American Express, contingent on pilots
reaching a contract.
This would be $100 in a loan, and $500 million in pre-purchase of FF points
that Amex would then give to its carholders. (Similar deals had been recahed
Form a posse to intimidate negro voters on election day27 Oct 2004 18:29 GMT6
I hear tell those coloreds won't go into a voting booth if they see
someone standing near the door who looks like he may be a cop.
Now why would a law abiding negro voter fear to walk past a cop, head
held high? Maybe because 9 out of 10 negroes have outstanding warrants

AA luggage policy sucks!27 Oct 2004 17:32 GMT13
Go on a hunting trip or any trip that requires a lot of luggage on AA
and you will pay through the nose!  Each checked bag can be only 50lbs
and you can only check two of them.  Extra bags cost $80 each (I knew
this of course but was stuck as I had two boxes of game meat and a

Using mobiles in an aeroplane... NOT dangerous after all! (apparently)27 Oct 2004 04:20 GMT201
I've been reading about this in various places, that they have found
out that private cellular mobile phones do NOT affect flight controls,
that this information is erroneous. Some report has come out.
Furthermore, I have also been told that the flight companies have

The pesos will be tagged to the USD dollar however (for currency conversion purposes).
Advice Wanted for Air Travel the Sunday After Thanksgiving26 Oct 2004 21:27 GMT7
I'm looking for advice about traveling on Thanksgiving weekend.
Specifically, what is the Sunday after Thanksgiving like for air
travel? Long lines and delays? If it is busy on Sunday, is the rush
over by 4 or 5 p.m. in the evening?
Airlines that restrict heavy bags26 Oct 2004 19:33 GMT13
All of the airlines have policies that restrict heavy bags.  I have found
that some airlines enforce the policy and others do not.  Of course,
it may depend on the agent helping you.  Anyone want to comment
on good or bad airlines in this respect: Lufthansa, SAS, LOT, etc?
John Kerry is a danger to air-travel ! ! !26 Oct 2004 19:16 GMT3
He is too weak and terrorists will hijack or blow up many planes If
Kerry becomes president!
So vote for George W.Bush, he will fight and destroy all terrorists
and make air-travel 100% secure!
