I am returning from the Caribbean on the President's Day holiday (Feb.
21), changing planes in the early evening (8 PM) at Miami International
Airport. Scheduled time between flights is 80 minutes. I will have to
go through Customs and immigration, and am a U.S. citizen.

A close friend tells me she needs about 10,000 Delta Sky Miles as as soon as
possible  to complete a family vacation plan for next summer, because there are
a limited amount of seats for Sky Milers, and so one must plan wayy in advance

Last summer a friend and myself flew from London to Phoenix via US Airways
and I was very impressed with the in-flight entertainment: each seat had a
built-in screen, and the user could choose from a range of movies/TV
shows/music, etc., and start them whenever they like - you ...

I'd been looking around for a cheap deal to get from the US back home to
London, UK.  My original travel plans were just to go to Chicago for a week,
but things got extended by 2½ weeks and I'll be going to Atlanta, and then
thought, heck, if I'm there, why not go down to Florida ...

When you look at the current disaster in Asia, how do airlines handle this
from an operations point of view ?
