Not sure if this is the right newsgroup,but....
Is it better/cheaper to book a hire car before travelling to Majorca
(through the usual suspects) , or when you get there (local company
perhaps)?  If booking a car over there, do I need to take documents - e.g.

Suggestions please for cheapest flights from Manchester or Liverpool

After years of avoiding US-based airlines on Asia-North America routes in
favour of their Asian counterparts I am due to fly Northworst Tokyo Narita-SFO
next month (in coach - eek!). The itinerary has the plane as a 747-300.  

I have tickets with Delta for international travel for the Xmas
holidays.  Delta is in precarious financial condition.  What typically
happens when a carrier file Chapter 7.  Do they just keep flying under
protection, or do they typically cancel flights?  Do other carriers

Almost half the afternoons I look at
http://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/usmap.jsp I see long taxi delays at
Philadelphia.  Yet Southwest chose to enter the market.  How do they
prevent these delays from disrupting their tight schedules elsewhere

Say I know the exact flight numbers I need. Is there a way to book the
flights quickly using one of the online agents (Expedia etc) or must I go
through the whole tedious process of entering airports, dates, etc? Any help
here would be appreciated!

OK, about to go on our first holiday abroad involving flying.  Will be
flying Thomson (= Britannia?) to the Med.  Anyone know if there's a weight
limit for our luggage (in the hold, or in cabin)?

In the UK and Europe it's possible to buy a lounge pass into one of the
standard (usually Servisair) lounges for around 15-20GBP per person.
