United on the brink of self destruction?07 Jul 2005 01:42 GMT32

lack of crew? How can an airline in bankruptcy have its work force
disrupt schedules on
this Holiday weekend?  It's like driving another nail into its coffin.

I need a seat recommendation for a flight with Lufthansa A340-600 in
0-66-279 configuration from MUC to SFo in economy.
Are  the middle seats in row 21 (first row after business) good seats
or is there not enough leg space.

Allowed Items06 Jul 2005 12:12 GMT1
I am flying Virgin UK to US later this month and have looked at their list

It says no compressed gas.  Does this include deoderant in compressed-spray
form?  And would it include an inhaler for asthma (would this need a doctors
Question about "cheap" airline tickets06 Jul 2005 04:41 GMT10
I've heard that there are a number of organizations that sell airline
tickets cheaply. Is there some consumer-oriented website that rates the
cheap-ticket organizations?  Can these relatively inexpensive airline
tickets be bought at the last minute or within the week before travel,
DC Power Ports on AA06 Jul 2005 01:19 GMT1
Geez.  I have only been Platinum and have over 1 million miles on AA
but you know, I have never needed to dc power anything until now.
Does AA use the standard DC "cigarette lighter" port or does one need
an annoying "airplane dc converter" adapter for my cigarette lighter

Is hidden cities still an issue?05 Jul 2005 04:02 GMT1
I can't find any discussion of Hidden Cities on the net dated after '03
and that one simply mentions some pending litigation that was expected
to favor passengers on the issue. I would greatly appreciate any info
on the current situation, and specific answers to these questions: Do
Problem on Continental flight05 Jul 2005 03:47 GMT2
A couple of days ago, I heard that a Continental Airlines flight bound
for Cleveland from California (I think) had an explosion or fire. The
plane had to make an emergency landing, and the passengers were
transferred to another plane. I haven't heard anything else about this.
