| BA WTP vs Virgin Premium economy - Opinions? | 17 Sep 2005 09:19 GMT | 9 |
I'm planning to fly longhaul near the end of the month and I have the choice of using BA World Traveller Plus or Virgin Premium economy. I'm around 6'6" so standard economy is not really an option as it is an 8.5 hour flight :(

Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines entered bankruptcy court together this week, and few will be surprised if they emerge together - as a single combined carrier. http://www.usatoday.com/travel/news/2005-09-16-merger-speculation_x.htm

| "Open jaws" route possible with award travel? | 16 Sep 2005 18:33 GMT | 7 |

| Why Doesn't AA Declare Chapt 11? | 16 Sep 2005 15:27 GMT | 4 |
The title says it all. If all their "major" competitors rae operating with the advantages of Chapt 11, why doesn't AA go that route? Can't their accountants fiddle the books enough to get them a quick in and out Chapt 11 and renegotiate various contracts in the process?

| Flight search - charter airlines to the U.S. | 16 Sep 2005 12:33 GMT | 1 |
I have always used Cheapestflights.co.uk as a starting point for searching for flights to Florida. Unfortunately they have now changed the site and it doesn't seem to offer the "+ or - 7 days" option which was really useful to find the best deal when your plans are flexible.

| How do travel agents work? | 15 Sep 2005 22:12 GMT | 3 |
Specifically, how do they get paid? Do you pay them a finder's fee to get you the best deal on plane tickets and/or a trip somewhere, or do they take a percentage of what you pay for the tickets and/or trip?

| Why 330 day advance limit? | 15 Sep 2005 20:23 GMT | 10 |
Many (all?) airlines have a limit of 330 days on making reservations in advance. Does anyone here know why 330 days was chosen? Was it originally some hexadecimal limitation that was carried over? Casey
