United saver awards vs. regular awards21 Oct 2005 09:27 GMT1
For United frequent flier miles, I know that you can get a "saver" award for
a domestic round trip for 25,000 miles, but there are so few frequent flier

hard to get the flights I want. However, for a "regular" ...
This president shouldn't be allowed to speak in public21 Oct 2005 06:51 GMT377
I can't believe his handlers let him give press conferences.  Without
them by his side whispering into his ear he doesn't know what to say!
He just says "ahhhh" a lot, looks down at the ground, and has a look
of strained constipation on his face, as if he's begging God to put

Hi group.
I try to make this short. (Did not work!)
At the end of June I had to go to Sweden, for my moms funeral. It was
delayed until July 20, after I got over thee, due to people being on
Flight Paths20 Oct 2005 02:25 GMT6
I note that most flights from Miami or Ft Lauderdale to the Northeast
head out over the ocean and don't come ashore until North Carolina.
But Southwest always hugs the coast even though it adds a little
distance.
Airline Biz Crisis: Not Difficult To Predict19 Oct 2005 13:42 GMT28
In the mid-late 1990s, I saw in the local newspaper that some senior
Delta captains were being paid approximately up to $500,000 a year, and
that the Delta Board of Directors pays the new CEO Leo Mullin millions
(how many?) and the other top management gets pretty nice pay too, I
High school project considered potential threat to Bush18 Oct 2005 20:28 GMT9
It's because of high school kids like this that Bush can't walk the
streets of the country he governs.
It's because of terrorists like this kid that the President of the
United States is virtual prisoner inside his own country.  He goes
Terminology: non-stop, direct, transfer18 Oct 2005 14:32 GMT10
Good afternoon from Seoul.
What do you call these stuffs?
1. from airport A to airport C just directly.
2. from A, stopping at B, and C. You never get off from the plane.
Clocks changing18 Oct 2005 01:30 GMT4
I can't quite get my head round this, I know the clocks go back on 30th
October, although not sure what the official time is for this.  I want to
book car parking, we are due to land at 01.40, do I put 12.40 on the
booking?  We leave Cyprus at 23hours (local time) and its a 4.5 ...

Airline downsizing means more hassles, fewer choices for travelers
As noted in an earlier AskEd & AnswerEd, most of the U.S. legacy lines
are downsizing in an effort to cut costs. Depending on circumstances,
the impact of this downsizing on individual travelers could range from

Australia SIM cards?17 Oct 2005 21:45 GMT2
Any recommendations for Australia prepaid phone service. I have heard Optus
and Telstra and both ok.
I assume one can be purchased upon arrival at Sydney International (YSSY).
Thanks.
airfares have gone thru the roof17 Oct 2005 14:06 GMT20
looked around for xmastime stuff , which i know is expensive. but it is
ridiculous. even southworst on xmas day -- traditionally a low-fare,
low-demand day -- is quite pricy, $180 to go cross usa 1 way.
