the plane was safe but a Turkish Airliner had hit our wing and tail ...

it is mired in the pretensions of the 1960s, when that kind of hideous
white-elephantness was thought grand architecture.  now it looks like a
sad anachronism.

Question about right time to purchase tickets29 Nov 2005 03:43 GMT6
I'm planning a vacation a few months in advance.  And scouting the

how far in advance should I buy a ticket before prices start going up?
I mean I'm not a frequent traveler, but I've heard that if you buy
How does journey differ with Ryanair compared to 'big' airlines?29 Nov 2005 03:06 GMT31
I have now booked my first flights with Ryanair. Previously I have
only flown with major, big-league airlines (BA, Lufthansa, KLM etc).
Before I always booked at a travel agent and received the tickets then
and there or a day or two later from the same premises.

I'm looking for flights from the south of England to Tenerife for a family

about the cheapest of an expensive bunch (£935).  Has anyone used them and
would they recomend them.

Sticking it to the airlines28 Nov 2005 05:52 GMT19
Excerpts from

Airlines could be in for a passenger revolt against their system for
keeping everybody happy if too many bodies show up at the gate.
do we go through security at each location?28 Nov 2005 04:09 GMT6
We will be flying the day after Christmas from Springfield, MO to Palm
Springs, CA.  We change planes (a 2 hr layover) in Dallas.  Does this
mean we will go through the security checkpoint(s?) at Dallas as well?
I'd like to know if we have to factor in time for a Dallas security
Temporarily Lost Luggage Should Not Be Penalized28 Nov 2005 03:21 GMT11
When one has to make a last minute ticket change, Delta etal may get a
couple hundred bucks USD for the enormous trouble, which has recently
happened.

sports equipment supplements on flights26 Nov 2005 17:43 GMT1
I'm considering booking a return flight on Monarch. They offer to
carry up to 13kg of sports equipment for a cost of ?ú10 each way.
This compares to their excess baggage charges of ?ú4 per kilo.

I flew with American last year and found they also charge. It's only a
