Wendy's--Air Tran Promotion Ends  31Dec 200516 Dec 2005 14:53 GMT1
Is this promotion on-going in your area?
It is in metro Atlanta and surely elsewhere.

They had a fun front-page article on it a few days ago (when exactly?).
Overheated Narita airport (near Tokyo, Japan)16 Dec 2005 07:02 GMT8
Wasting unnecessary fuel to make the terminals unpleasantly too warm
(or too hot).  That's stupid!
> The terminal itself tends to be overheated in winter and a

Please answer for me - "hidden city" ticket use16 Dec 2005 01:28 GMT3
I fully understand the concept of the hidden-city ticket, i.e. deplaning in
an intermediate city to get a cheaper fare.  What I don't understand is how
in hell are you supposed to get back?  If you don't complete your flight,
your return leg will be inactivated, and even if you ...
Shots fired on AA plane (Miami)15 Dec 2005 18:42 GMT38
A snip from a early press release:

MIAMI-- Shots were fired Wednesday on board an American Airlines jet
that had landed at Miami International Airport, and at least one person

Do the reverse thrusters fail very often?

There has been so much nonsense speculation about this in recent
times, nice to see that QF have clarified the situation, and no-one
knows better than them. That Australia-LHR nonstop is not viable was
air courier in Canada14 Dec 2005 17:38 GMT2
I was wondering if anyone knew of an air courier company in Canada.  I
am trying to get a cheap flight from Toronto to Dublin for new years.
Thanks,

Cheap airfare Berlin-Hamburg14 Dec 2005 13:54 GMT3
I'm planning an itinerary where at one point I'm going to have to get
one-way from Berlin to Frankfurt  in time to catch my return flight
back to Canada. Anyone know of any cheap fares or carriers within
Germany, flying that route?
No more Kai-Tak?14 Dec 2005 13:01 GMT6
When did they close Kai-Tak airport? I find that the latest update to
Ultumate Traffic no longer has Kai-Tak in the database, and that
is raising hell with some of the Flight Simuilator add-ons I have.
I have had to manually chage the airport codes from
How do travel agencies work?14 Dec 2005 11:49 GMT11
How do travel agencies work?  Specifically, how do they get paid?
Recently, I decided to get a rate quotation from one of them for a
round-trip flight.  I asked them what airline it was for, and thanked
them for their time.  I went to the website for the airline to get an
FF tickets to Europe on Northwest/Delta has me concerned14 Dec 2005 09:57 GMT2
I have a round trip NW frequent flyer award to Europe reserved for
next April and May.  The NW reservation agent put me on a Delta
flight (with a 5 hour layover in CVG).  With all the labor problems that
Delta is having with their pilots, I'm a bit concerned about my flight.

"mrtravel" fired from yet another job13 Dec 2005 15:44 GMT26
Well, it's obvious from his latest troll-a-thon in the last few weeks that "mrtravel"
is unemployed yet again.  Fired from his last toilet cleaning job in Seattle - again!
Unemployed and unemployable for life, just like I predicted after Cisco fired him.
Now he's back to hanging out ...
Straps for worn out luggage?13 Dec 2005 13:07 GMT3
Any ideas for some inexpensive straps to wrap around luggage as extra
insurance for zippers in poor condition?
I'm thinking hardware store, etc.
Thanks!
