Kerala24 Jan 2006 10:51 GMT1
Been looking at a trip to Kerala, but most of the pacakages use Monarch for
the flights, and the thought of a 10 hour flight with Monarch scares me.
Anyone know of any company that uses any other airline and which?
TIA
Northwest Baggage Handling - Legalized Robbery23 Jan 2006 21:28 GMT6
OK...so this is nothing new, but I have recently been initiated into
the group of people that have been robbed blind by airline baggage
handlers.
I was traveling from Dayton, OH to LAX for a video shoot. Because of
Thoughts good or bad about YYC or YYG?23 Jan 2006 17:48 GMT3
Myself and a friend are looking at taking a trip to Toronto, although
the fares out of our local airport, CPR, are almost twice what we can
get out of DEN. In any event we have decided to drive to Denver to get
this much better fare. My friend is paying for the tickets, so I will
Landing Weight23 Jan 2006 16:08 GMT17
I wonder why the max landing weight is much lower than takoff  weight.
In FSPassengers, which adds indcredibe levels of realism to Flight
Simulator, if I try to land at a weight higher than the max landing
weight for the aircraft, I will either stall out and crash, or, even if

Any idea when Southwest will open their schedule past June?23 Jan 2006 02:30 GMT6

Only 389 Passengers on a 747-40022 Jan 2006 22:40 GMT5
I found an interesting add-on for Flight Simulator, FS Passengers, which
detects what kind of aircraft you are flying, and simulates loading
passengers. I notice that with a 747-400,. it loads 389 passengers, but
I thought the 747-400 had a higher passenger capacity than that. I ...

Airline extras: Annoying now, worse later
We frequently hear from readers who question extra charges or add-ons
to their air travel bills. Sadly, extra charges are becoming the norm
rather than the exception, to the extent that you often find it hard

I purchased a ticket online with Delta.com for $600. After falling sick
to the flu, I tried to change my ticket. They stated this is a discount
ticket, and I cannot make changes, nor get a refund for my eticket. I"m

Ground Transportation Between Long Beach (LGB) and Los Angeles (LAX)22 Jan 2006 17:14 GMT4
My wife is flying in to Long Beach on a Friday morning, arriving at
8am. I am flying in to LAX, arriving at 9:30. I am renting the car, and
since we are heading up north from there, I'd like her to meet me at or
near LAX so I don't have to drive down to Long Beach, then go right
Ping Lansbury - Global Internet Access22 Jan 2006 16:32 GMT6
We used MaGlobe for a few weeks in the US and it worked really well.  A bit
slower when you are used to broadband but not a single hitch.  Connected at
around 49Kbps.  Also I was pleased at the lack of intrusion - no popups
etc.(unless McAfee was doing its job!), only the entry ...
