[airport code] destinations served via direct?17 Feb 2006 18:09 GMT1
Anyone know of a Web site that you can enter an airport code, say IAH, and
get a list of destinations served via direct flights? I am particularly
interested to find out which cities in France, Italy, and the UK (other than
the obvious ones) might have a direct non-stop from Houston ...

Having just been forced to cancel a trip
because of my wife's illness, I found that
United Airlines was happy to convert our
tickets to credit for later travel. (Didn't
Observations from an India trip (Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad)17 Feb 2006 11:18 GMT40
On 6 Nov '05 I had requested the ng's advice about a forthcoming visit
to India and received many helpful answers (the thread is archived at

thought I would thank everyone and share my experiences.
When traveling touches your heart.....17 Feb 2006 11:01 GMT1
Dear fellow travelers:
Today I'd like to tell you two travel stories that ended in something
even more special than unforgettable memories and amazing pictures.
These are the kind of stories that reflect how much getting in touch
United Going Dual Jetway17 Feb 2006 11:01 GMT9
AvWeek reports that United will be installing dual jetways at airports
served by TED A320s. The photo included with the article shows a
different design than that used by Southwest in Dallas & Austin. The
United jetway is a bit more gantry looking and has the second jetway
Flywho17 Feb 2006 09:27 GMT1
I see that after a "false start" last year Flywho are now promoting their
new services. On the website they are showing a twice weekly service to
Orlando (not sure if it's MCO or SFB) and a weekly service to St Pete, all
starting in July.

A way to search for air tickets by price and not by day?16 Feb 2006 22:29 GMT1
I need to go to Moldova or Ukraine (easier if i went to Moldova; both
in Eastern Europe) but *when* i go is not as important as the price.
So, is there a site or a way i can search for say the cheapest ticket
now available any time within February or March (or whenever). The

Air fair searching and one way vs. two way16 Feb 2006 21:16 GMT2
I'm lucky enough to be going to Germany (Hamburg) in June for a week to
watch some footie and then have to get from there to central France for
the Le Man 24 hours race. One way car rental is far too expensive so
I'm thinking about flying to Paris and then renting a car.
Optimum ticket buying technique?16 Feb 2006 20:26 GMT3
I have to fly from the USA to Europe this summer and so could buy my
ticket at any time between now and July.  Is there a best time to shop
for tickets?  I can't do the last-minute thing because I need to be
there on the day I promise.

Tail Wind14 Feb 2006 07:08 GMT61
How strong can they get for commercial airlines?   How variable are
those
wind speeds from trip to trip?   I presume the airlines take advantage
of them,
Looking for Bonus Miles Promotions?13 Feb 2006 21:02 GMT4
Dear Readers, I am flying from Denver to Amsterdam next month and want to
earn lots and lots of miles. I ran into this rather geeky website but I have
no clue. It's too complicated. http://www.MileMaven.com How do I use it???
Thanks, Ruth R.
