British Airways - Book and Upgrade with BA Miles07 Feb 2006 11:55 GMT2
I have over 116,000 BA miles which I have accumulated over many years
flying with BA. I am experiencing extreme difficulty redeeming these
miles on a two week return flight to Cape Town for two people and
thought I would post here for some advice.

AA economy seat pitch.06 Feb 2006 22:30 GMT15
It was 31", than they had the more room in coach and increased it to 35".
They then put back the seats they had taken out and are now claiming, on their
web site, their seat pitch is 33"-34". Is this an accurate figure or has it
gone back to the original 31".

Joseph Nanevicz (developer of airline static dischargers) dies06 Feb 2006 22:04 GMT6
Odd little note here, but may interest someone . . .
The pencil-shaped electrostatic dischargers widely used on the wingtips
of aircraft to discharge static electricity were developed some decades
back by a group of scientists in the Applied Electromagnetics and Optics
United LHR-JFK06 Feb 2006 09:53 GMT18
I'm just back from a quick trip to New York with United. Flight was ontime
both ways and food and service was good. The aircraft was a 777 which was
about 2/3rd's full going (I had the entire 5 middle seats to myself....).
Returning I upgraded at the self-service check-in and ...

believe is non-refundable, non-transferable) Brussels > London Heathrow

ANY chance of finding spring bargains to Florida??05 Feb 2006 15:28 GMT16
Last July, we made plans to spend a week in Orlando with two other
couples. I started looking at airfare in October, checking, literally,
daily (I'm a conference planner, it's part of what I do anyway...). Not
being within the 90 day window meant that the 'sale fares' weren't

Cna anyone recommend a website where I may obtain airfares between
countries other than the one I am departing from?
For example, I live in Australia and would like to know the current
airfare between Cairo and Istanbul.
Sri Lankan Air and  London Heathrow 04 Feb 2006 23:00 GMT3
Any opinions of Sri Lankan air? I've taken Singapore air many times, but
it is a very long trip with one night layover in Singapore; I am tired
of that route. This will be my first trip with Sri Lankan air; all the
horror stories are welcome.

and let's people know what it's really like up there. The author has a
website, too. www.lorijakiela.com. Check it out!
