British Airways is scrapping check-in desks for travelers on its domestic
routes in the UK.
Passengers on BA's routes within the UK will from April 25 have to check in
via BA's website or at airport kiosks.

The KTLA Morning News is reporting that a standby passenger on a full
flight, upon learning that the flight was full, flashed a boarding
pass from a previous flight to get past the gate and then hid in the
plane's bathroom for an hour before being discovered. The report said

Is this real? Does anyone every really get big discounts and fly real
cheap to far off places? I get the feeling its more of an urban legend.
Does anyone know anyone who actually got ultra cheap fares by being a

Does anyone know why airlines have restrictions involving "break of
journey".  It would seem that if I didn't want to use a travel segment
they suffer no loss -- they could even resell the seat.  But, many have
restrictions where then threaten to cancel the entire trip.
