Shutdown of Varig Brazilian Airlines is imminent.
Most flights are now cancelled, and all planes are returning home to
Brazil.  A judge in New York has issued an order to impound around 20
planes.

I now have an ex and we are cancelling a holiday to Italy in
September. I reckon we will have to cancel flight and get a some money
back .... she seems to think we could cancel flight and get a sort of
voucher to fly with them again.

Any opinions on LOT airlines business class?  I am flying EWR-WAW and then
WAW-TXL near the end of July?  I have an 8 hour layover in Warsaw.  Is this
enough time to go into the city?  If I go into the city will I have language
problem?  I know no polish but can get by in german.

Northwest apparently found that having passengers board when they are
ready is 5-10 minutes faster than boarding by rows.

A group of us recently retired friends & family are planning a Europe
vacation May 2007.
